One is always happy to find a new show to enjoy, of course, readers. But discovering some new music you cannot help but rock to when the show plays? That’s the metaphorical jackpot!
If you’ve been keeping up with my newsletter, then you have seen my opinion of Asato Asato’s 86 – Eighty-Six* series. At present I am caught up on the light novels, and the anime’s second cour (season) is in full swing. The animation for that is glorious, and the mecha battles so far have not disappointed this author. I haven’t seen mecha fights this good since Zoids*, and that is no light praise!
So, in the interest of spreading the joy to others (along with the misery of earworms), this author presents some of the best songs to play in the anime thus far. The music for the series was composed by Horiyuki Sawano, and if you thought the man was a genius when you heard his work in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress*, you have not listened to anything yet!
