Remember that post about the sounds made by the nine planets in the Solar System? Well, it turns out that these were not the only noises NASA recorded and put in a playlist. They picked up a number of other cosmic melodies, most of which are rather creepy.
You can listen to these sounds by following the links in the article below. Just remember that “there are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophies.”* Whatever weird cosmic creatures sci-fi/fantasy authors can and will dream up likely pale in comparison to what is really out there. That meme at the top of this post may be more accurate than anyone wants to admit.
Have fun, readers!
NASA Shares ‘Sinister Sounds’ From Space On Soundcloud
NASA has shared an extremely eerie collection of sounds from the universe titled ‘Sinister Sounds of the Solar System’, on Soundcloud. NASA released these hair-raising, creepy sounds from the cosmos, just in time for Halloween.
This bone-chilling Halloween playlist curated by the US space agency is not your typical Halloween music. Instead of growls of werewolves and creaking sounds of doors in haunted houses, NASA’s playlist features sounds from the universe. According to a statement from NASA, the playlist is comprised of ‘moans’ and ‘whistles’ from the universe. NASA further added that these sounds would terrify even the scariest creatures.

Interesting (and striking “music!”) but I’m assuming all of those clips have been carefully selected and much manipulated.
