Tunes That Are Temporarily Out of Season

Since we are all inundated by Christmas music, I thought you might appreciate a break from the endless cycle of “Jingle Bells” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” readers. In all honesty, the only thing this author finds irritating about Christmas music is that people play it too early; immediately after Thanksgiving is not necessarily when she wants to hear Mannheim Steamroller*, Bing Crosby*, or the Andrew Sisters*. And “Santa, Baby” should just be deleted and forgotten for all time.

Anyway, for those who hate hearing Christmas music non-stop, here are three songs that may make the holiday season a little brighter without throwing tinsel at your ears:

Mandisa – Overcomer (Official Lyric Video)

Any Way You Want It

Shadows Of The Night

Mandisa* is a relatively recent discovery for this author, but Journey* and Pat Benatar* are old friends. I hope you enjoyed listening to them as much as I did – and do – readers. Have a Merry Christmas and try not to shout at the people on the radio too much. They are just doing their jobs, no more, no less.

We can all relate to that.
